RIP Martyn. Thank you so much for creating Worms. Decades ago, I got a demo of the game on a magazine CD-ROM. At first, I hated it because there was no documentation, and I kept blowing myself up. However, a couple of years later, I gave it another shot and absolutely fell in love with it. I still play it with my son to this day!
Thank you, Team-17, for making such a timeless game that continues to bring joy to generations.
Worms 2 on PC and Worms Armageddon + World Party on Dreamcast were some of the most fun I ever had with video games. Also one of the few games my mom ever played lol. RIP
On top of the fun of playing the games themselves, being able to easily customize levels and weapon sets (and weapons themselves to an insane degree in Worms 2 on PC) set a standard that few games meet even now.

Sad news. I had a chance to meet with him quite a while ago, he was very friendly and approachable. Gone way too soon.
His name is associated with a lot of legendary games on the Amiga, including Worms, Alien Breed, Body Blows, Full Contact, Project-X and more...

RIP Spadge.
I spent a lot of time on the Team 17 forum when I was young, and it was nice that he engaged with the community as much as he did.
57 years young. Tragic loss.
